LOAD SECURING

Once you're on the road, do you want to make sure that your loads won't slip, tip over, roll or move? Do you need to know the best securing method for you? Do you need to make sure that your load is stowed according to EN 12195 -1, VDI 2700 regulations or according to the European Good Practice Code for load securing?

Straps, chains, cables, bars, nets, brackets, packing equipment, non-slip mats and more. There are numerous securing solutions for each load. But not all solutions are easy to implement at a low price.

Load securing systems are designed according to acceleration, friction factors, safety factors and test methods.

The sum of the locking, blocking, direct securing and securing by friction factors may be used to secure loads.

The load attachment system must be able to withstand...

  •  An acceleration of 0.8 g if the load moves forwards,
  •  An acceleration of 0.5 g if the load moves backwards,
  •  An acceleration of 0.6 g if the load moves sideways as there is a risk of the load tipping over

The STABUMAX® load securing mat on its own presents a minimum dynamic friction coefficient of 0.6 µ on each side. A load which is placed on a STABUMAX® non-slip mat therefore needs fewer securing straps to be secure and to meet regulatory securing levels.

Loading stable units is the pre-requisite for all successful securing operations.
