A look back at the CGP GERMANY team at FACHPACK 2022 in NUREMBERG

I – THE TREND: TRANSITION IN PACKAGING
The health crisis of 2020 had put all the trade fairs on stand-by, enabling everyone to find out about new market trends, opportunities and the latest innovations. Today, the CGP Coating Innovation group is delighted to have been able to resume its activity by taking part in the FACHPACK trade show in Nuremberg from September 27 to 29, 2022. A European trade show dedicated to packaging, technology and converting.
The event was a great success. In particular for the new German sales team, who presented and discussed the various CGP solutions that help cut costs by optimizing storage and transport operations, and the management of consumables, while reducing plastic waste . It was also an opportunity to meet up with customers and distributor partners, as well as to meet new profiles and identify emerging projects to support.3 days of information, and the many visitors showed a keen interest in the solutions on offer.
This year, the theme of the FACHPACK 2022 show was dedicated to the transition in packaging, for all manufacturers wishing to involve their packaging in their CSR policy. COVID 19 and the war in Ukraine have put the spotlight on the circular economy and more environmentally-friendly consumption. This is a strong trend that affects us all on a daily basis.
II – ECONOMIC AND ECOLOGICAL SOLUTIONS
In a move to reduce packaging, we propose first and foremost to avoid over-packaging by eliminating all the superfluous packaging, the overqualification of compositions and by favoring theuse of products thinner based of recycled and by replacing the use of plastic everywhere this ispossible.
During the show, CGP Coating Innovation highlighted three solutions that enable you to use your transport packaging to achieve your CSR objectives.

1 – STABULON®NON-SLIP PALLET PADS
Its unique anti-slip coating gives it a sliding angle of over 45°, guaranteeing excellent stability for your products.
With over 30 years’ experience, we can define the anti-slip midsole quality best suited to your needs.
2 – SLIP-SHEET ECOLOGISTIK®, A PALLET-FREE SHIPPING CONCEPT
ECOLOGISTIK® slip-sheet ECOLOGISTIK® slip-sheet is a recyclable Kraft liner sheet developed to replace wooden pallets and pallets when loading and unloading export containers.
3 – STABUSTRAP® PALLETIZING ELASTIC BAND
Stabustrap an elastic palletizing band designed to reduce your use of stretch film in your intralogistics flows. STABUSTRAP® is a real ecological and economical alternative to stretch film. It’s easy to use, as the band can be applied manually to any type of parcel in 5 seconds, without the need for additional equipment:
- ECONOMICAL: 3 times less expensive than stretch film for the same application.
- ECOLOGICAL: This stretch tape is totally recyclable and helps to reduce the weight of packaging thanks to the small quantity required (8 grams compared with around 250g to 400g for stretch film).
- FAST : It can be applied in 5 seconds, unlike stretch film (several minutes).
- PERFORMANCE: just a few grams hold packages up to 1 tonne.
III – CO-CONSTRUCTION FOR NEW PACKAGING SOLUTIONS
Visitors were looking for solutions to align themselves with the major trends of the moment. Our experts, present on our stand, were able to support visitors in the co-construction of stabilization solutions that enable the implementation of new, more economical and ecological packaging.
